Local Raw Sourwood Honey. Produced by bees throughout Central Virgina. Si's Hives is located in Petersburg, VA. This honey is created alongside Sourwood trees which are native to the VA coast. Honey made from Sourwood trees is medium to light in color with heavy body and is slow to granulate.

The scientific name for sourwood refers to the sour taste of its leaves. The leaves are used as a thirst-quencher by hikers and mountain climbers, and were once brewed to make a tonic.
