Rendered chicken fat from the fat of our pastured chickens fed non-gmo feed. Schmaltz is a mild yet rich flavored fat used in cooking whose flavor can be compared to butter. Our schmaltz comes frozen in glass mason jar to preserve its freshness, but it's soft enough to scoop out the amount you need while frozen. If thawed, it should be kept refrigerated and used within a week for best freshness.
